Pet Paradise used to be called the Bark Station. There was plenty of room for large dogs and also small dogs then. However over the last 5 years it has almost quickly outgrown itself by doubling up the cages within the play areas. The people there are very nice and always call if there is a problem.
This year when we went on vacation a week ago, at the end of my doggy stay.
The total price had risen up to $450.00 for one week which was almost double since last year. I queried this with the staff and was told due to inflation their costs had gone up.
This price did include one daily dog ice cream, bath at nails clipped at the end of his stay as well as boarding.
Maybe next year we will consider boarding my dog at an alternative venue.
First time boarding our dogs anywhere and choosing Pet Paradise was the best decision we made. Very easy to check them in. Upfront was very busy but they were super organized friendly to not only us but other clients. They were so happy to see Busch and Bud when they showed up, and knew exactly who they were! They sent us photos and videos of them playing (via furever connected) and I loved it. Check out time we actually showed up a day earlier- called them to let them know and they told us they weren’t able to give them baths but we were 100% okay with that and understood. Upon pick up time, our dogs DID get their baths, which was impressive for a last minute communication (Our fault). They smelt amazing, they were both tired but you could tell they were leaving happy and well taken care of! Busch and Bud will see y’all soon ❤️
I’m a pet parent, and I love my dogs. I’d only take my dogs to a place I know they’d be taken care of. My husband is an electrician who is a small business owner, and completed an $1891 job Dec 2021, and Pet Paradise still refuses to pay for the service. If you can’t trust a local business for services rendered, how can you trust them with a member of your family like your pets?…I strongly do not recommend.
I wouldn't recommend bringing any dog here.
Due to Covid, moving homes, and new born we weren't able to get our pups into a groomer for a few months. Our oldest (7) had some matted hair spots by his legs and our puppy(6m) had some puppy hair. Both our Goldendoodles needed a fresh groom session. We completely understand that dogs with matted hair sometimes need to be shaved but my puppy with shaved from head to toe and they completely shaved his Whiskers off. Both dogs scabbed up the following day around their necks.
If I wanted my Dogs shaved to the skin I would have done the work myself and saved $220. We called the corporate office and they offered us a free day of day care... Thanks for awful offer but no thanks. If my review helps 1 customer avoid your groomers then that is good enough for me.
Boarded my babies (a senior pomeranian and a golden retriever puppy) here twice now. The first time I was nervous because I rarely board them in general. I really appreciated being able to log into the webcams and check on them. It helped put me at ease seeing them enjoy themselves during playtime. Staff that I interacted with during scheduling, drop off, and pick up seem kind and to genuinely love animals. Those that I viewed interacting with the dogs during playtime via the webcams seemed attentive and caring. I watched one lady dancing and playing with them it was really nice and joyful looking. I'd absolutely board here again.
My dog came home with dried poop on her leg. She also has diarrhea and is threwing up. She was fine before she went here, I don't know what they gave her, but we will not be coming back.
The explanation for the low review. I have two golden retrievers. BOTH were groomed yesterday by pet paradise and pet paradise had their ages and veterinarian records. I had to board both goldens today so I could do some home renovations without them being in the way. The younger golden retriever just turned 6 months old and NO ONE from this business told me yesterday that the younger one would have to be isolated from all the other dogs and would be caged all day long!
The second issue is that I had to wait between 10-15 minutes for someone to take the two Goldens back! This time was debated with the assistant manager when I picked up the dogs because I filled out the survey prior to picking up the dogs.
I was very honest in the survey and was confronted about my answers when I picked up my Goldens. So do NOT answer the survey until after you have gotten your dogs unless you are in the mood to debate your answers with the assistant manager.
The assistant manager said that after reviewing the cameras recording I was taken care of within 2 minutes upon arriving!!!!!
Their assistant managers idea of being taken care of is when they greet you. Not when they take your dogs back.
Let me explain how long I was REALLY there until the dogs were taken from me. Upon arriving at around 830am I could see there were two dogs already in the lobby and NO ONE at the desk helping the current customer so I waited for 3 minutes in the area before getting into the lobby where there is a glass door in front and behind you. The dogs were excited to go play and after 3 minutes the older one pushed to front door into the lobby open. Once that happened both dogs entered the lobby with the other two dogs the customer prior to my arrival had in the lobby. After 1-2 minutes I raised my voice and yelled for help since now all four dogs were going crazy and very excited to see each other. An employee named Julian came up and asked my dogs names. I guess in the assistant managers eyes the clock stopped there!!!! Unfortunately it took another 5-8 minutes to get the dogs back. I asked Julian if he could take the dogs back and he said, "NO" and that he had to check them in which was he was in no hurry to do. I then asked if there was anyone that could take the dogs back at which point Julian told me that the younger dog HAD TO BE ISOLATED ALL DAY due to his age, which was never told to me the day prior when I brought both dogs to be groomed a day earlier. I then asked for a manager or anyone that could take the dogs back so I could leave. He then left the desk for about 4-5 minutes when an older woman with gray hair in her mid fifties came up who I later found out was the manager and was extremely rude. I tried to de escalate her attitude toward me which did not work. After about 4-5 minutes being lectured about how the younger golden would be isolated all day they finally took the dogs back and I was able to leave. So this is why I say I was not helped for 15 minutes and why the assistant manager thinks a greeting is "being taken care of" and I believe the dogs being taken back and relieved from my care is the end of the "time clock" for being taken care of as a customer.
As the assistant manager and I discussed and debated the "time I was taken care of" she then said that "they are staffed adequately". LOL which then rang a bell for me.... this was the SAME manager I talked to about 6 months earlier who I complained to about the business being inadequately staffed at which time I was told "they are staffed adequately".
The manager, assistant manager and Julian are all RUDE and they are NOT staffed adequately.
I am not sure why this business does not staff like they should. These dog boarding places make a ton of money. Do the math. $50/day times 50 dogs on average (small and large) per day. Hire MORE happy and friendly staff.
They emailed us a cancelation the night before we are supposed to be bringing them in for boarding. We have a wedding to minister and can not have our fur babies with us at the venue. How nice and thank you so much. God bless
